PUNCH BOWL SOCIAL HOSTS 1ST BIRTHDAY PARTY IN DETROIT; LOCAL NONPROFIT BENEFITS
Detroit, Michigan (November 16, 2015) — Punch Bowl Social (1331 Broadway Street) will celebrate its first anniversary in Detroit on Wednesday, November 25, from 5-8 p.m., with the $10 ticket fee going directly to Camp Casey, a nonprofit horseback riding program for children with cancer and their families in Michigan.
Guests will enjoy a food buffet, two complimentary drinks (a cash bar is also available), some games and music performances by Dan Tillery, DJ David Boji from the Channel 95.5 Bomb Squad. Tickets for the event are $10 and can be purchased at by clicking here or via the events tab on Camp Casey’s website.
The event aims to raise enough money to support five Horsey House Calls.
“Punch Bowl Social is proud to partner with a grassroots organization that does so much for kids with cancer,” said Punch Bowl Social Founder & CEO Robert Thompson. “We’re thrilled to include them in our first anniversary celebration and hope the Detroit community will join us in our effort to raise five thousand dollars to support their unique horseback riding programs.”
Horsey House Calls is one of Camp Casey’s three cost-free programs that has spread the healing power of horses to Michigan families for over a decade. Equipped with a therapy horse, certified Equine Therapist, and trained volunteers, Camp Casey’s Horsey House Calls provide a day of respite to children with cancer and their families; the 501c3 nonprofit offers a horse lesson, horseback rides, pizza party, craft projects, games and more, all in the family’s yard, and at no cost to the participants.
