THE MOOSE PRESERVE CELEBRATES 25TH ANNIVERSARY
Bloomfield Hills, MI (October 26, 2015) — The Moose Preserve Bar & Grill (43034 Woodward Ave., Bloomfield Hills) will mark its 25th anniversary with a week-long celebration, kicking off November 9, 2015.
To commemorate the silver anniversary, The Moose Preserve will offer free appetizers for dinner guests, while lunch guests will enjoy complimentary dessert options. The restaurant, which will host various giveaways and games throughout the week, will welcome Chicago-based 90s’ cover band Fool House on Saturday, November 14.
Linda Egeland and Victor Dzenowagis opened their first restaurant, Beaver Creek Tackle and Beer, in Westland, Michigan, in 1986. Four years later, the husband-and-wife team purchased the vacant building at Square Lake and Woodward and opened The Moose Preserve; with rustic furniture, wild game on the menu and ample taxidermy décor, it was the first restaurant in metro Detroit to launch the up north lodge trend. People were dubious of the concept, name and location, but time has proven skeptics wrong.
“We found our niche when we opened The Moose Preserve,” said Egeland, who came up with the restaurant’s moniker. “Even though it was our second restaurant, it was the one that really solidified our up north, outdoor identity, which the rest of our restaurants have followed.”
Patrons will also enjoy original 1990 pricing on a few menu items.
-Pheasant Pasties – $5.99
-Bar Burgers with Velveeta Cheese – $5.99
-Stroh’s beer – $2/bottle
In addition, Egeland and Dzenowagis own Camp Ticonderoga in Troy, Deadwood Bar and Grill in Northville, the Iroquois Club Fine Banquets in Bloomfield Hills, and White Horse Inn in Metamora.
